Select Your City | Select Another State | Drug Information by States To find out if there are any drug rehab treatment or counseling facilities serving people in Brogan, Oregon that are suitable for your needs, please call 1-888-966-3784. There are hundreds, if not thousands of different types of alcohol addiction and drug detox and rehab programs. When choosing a drug rehab center for yourself or a loved one in need, it is important to become educated on the different types and what the end results are. Types of drug rehab programs include detoxification, outpatient counseling, short-term inpatient treatment (30-day program) and long-term residential treatment (longer than 60 days). Within these there are also medical models that use substitute drugs in the treatment process and there are drug-free programs that do not prescribe more drugs to addicts. Most drug rehab centers have some type of aftercare or follow-up program as well. On average for the country, approximately 90% of addicts go through outpatient treatment services instead of entering a residential rehabilitation program. (Source: SAMHSA) Longer-term residential treatment is overall more effective and a drug-free rehabilitation approach is better in the long run for the addict. Most rehab centers consider detoxification to be when the addict is no longer under the influence of the drug, but this is actually only withdrawal. At the Narconon Drug Detox and Rehab Program we have a very unique and effective detox procedure that actually rids the body of the old drug residues, which in turn eliminates physical cravings for the drugs and allows a person to feel much healthier mentally and physically. This is called the Narconon New Life Detoxification Program and is part of the Narconon Drug Detox and Rehab Program's long-term residential treatment. To make a successful recovery, the addict needs new tools in order to deal with situations and problems that are part of everyday life. Factors such as encountering someone from their days of using, returning to the same environment and places, or even small things such as smells and objects trigger memories which can create a desire to use drugs again. This can hinder the addict's goal of complete recovery and prevent them from permanently regaining control of their life. The Narconon Drug Detox and Rehab Program provides the life skills necessary to overcome these barriers and have a successful, permanent recovery so that former addicts can lead a healthy, productive and drug-free life. The Narconon Drug Detox and Rehab Program has helped thousands of people from all over the United States and other countries overcome addiction. The results speak for themselves. Approximately 70% of Narconon program graduates remain drug-free. Regardless of where you are in the country, contact a Narconon consultant today to get the help you're looking for. Oregon Drug Information provided by the U.S. Drug Enforcement AdministrationDrug Situation: Mexican drug trafficking organizations dominate the illicit drug market in Oregon. The state serves as a transshipment point for controlled substances smuggled from Mexico to Washington and Canada. Marijuana and MDMA (street name Ecstasy) from Canada also transit Oregon en route to other U.S. locations. While methamphetamine is a significant drug threat in Oregon, marijuana, heroin, cocaine, and club drugs are of concern. Drug trafficking organizations in Oregon also engage in money laundering, using a variety of methods to legitimize and reposition illicit proceeds.
Oregon legislators enacted a number of laws aimed at directly reducing methamphetamine availability and local production. In July 2006, products containing ephedrine and pseudoephedrine, precursor chemicals used in methamphetamine manufacturing, became Schedule III controlled substances, available only by prescription. In recent years, legislation restricted sales of pseudoephedrine by limiting sales to licensed pharmacies. In addition, pharmacies are required to maintain a log of purchase transactions and keep products behind a pharmacy counter. Reported clandestine laboratory seizures have been declining, and the local drug market has been increasingly supplied with methamphetamine from other southwestern states and Mexico. Mexican drug trafficking organizations dominate the methamphetamine supply in the Pacific Northwest. See also: Methamphetamine Information, The Crystal Trap, Crystal Meth Abuse
Canada and Mexico are source countries for marijuana; however, large quantities are also locally produced. Cultivations range from simple dirt grows to complex hydroponics operations, controlled by Caucasian independent producers as well as Mexican drug trafficking organizations. Large indoor and outdoor growing operations have been discovered on private, state, and forest lands, with plants numbering in the thousands. In the last several years, large outdoor grows operated by Mexican drug trafficking organizations have become more prevalent. These groups are actively cultivating cannabis in remote areas, growing thousands of plants yearly. High potency marijuana from Oregon is distributed locally and to other parts of the United States. DEA Regional Enforcement Teams: This program was designed to augment existing DEA division resources by targeting drug organizations operating in the United States where there is a lack of sufficient local drug law enforcement. This program was conceived in 1999 in response to the threat posed by drug trafficking organizations that have established networks of cells to conduct drug trafficking operations in smaller, non-traditional trafficking locations in the United States. As of January 31, 2005, there have been 27 deployments nationwide, and one deployment in the U.S. Virgin Islands, resulting in 671 arrests. There have been no RET deployments in the State of Oregon.
